About Us
AMT Architects is a new generation design firm that specializes in residential and light commercial architecture. With a construction foundation, projects are overseen with a hands-on, personalized approach. Our understanding of the building process and our ability to visualize the final product sets us apart from the competition.
Owner, “Mike” Tedesco, had a passion for construction and design from a young age, constantly drawing and building with blocks. Child’s play turned into passion as his interest grew. He began analyzing how new spaces could be created from an existing footprint, and how the design and building process came together.
Mike gained early experience in a hands-on approach, working with his father and uncle at Tedesco Brother’s Construction. Attending Temple University, he obtained a bachelor’s and master’s degree in architecture within five years. While earning his degrees, Mike continued work with his father’s business, in addition to obtaining various other architecture and construction firm knowledge.
Returning home to the foundation of his passions, Mike continued his career in the New Jersey Architectural industry. Seeing the opportunity to add his second passion, construction, to his architectural tool belt, he began running and overseeing residential construction projects as a Project Manager in addition to drawing.
Shortly after becoming a licensed architect, Mike started AMT Architects. In doing so, he is able to work within the realm of both his passions, architecture and construction.
